This apartment is located right in the heart of the Amsterdam Old City. Nieuwmarkt is just a few metres from the apartment and the market held here is a great place to pick up supplies or your stay in the city. Make sure you visit De Waag, an old weight house that used to form part of the city walls built in 1481. Today the building forms part of the restaurant, perfect for a drink on a warm afternoon. China Town is not far from the square and is home to international shops and restaurants not just from China but other parts of Asia, Europe and South America. The centre of Amsterdam, Dam Square can be reached on foot and it is here you can find one of the most stunning buildings in the city in the Royal Palace. The World Heritage Listed Central Canal Belt should too be visited with its array of stunning canal houses build during the Dutch Golden Age, some of which including the Museum Van Loon can still be visited today.
