Located at street level on a side street just east of Utrechtstraat, the Amstel Studio 2 make the perfect base for all your activities in the city. You will find the famous Prinsengracht Canal and the beautiful Canal Belt district just a minutes’ walk away, running parallel with the street. Follow the road to the east a few minutes and you will come to the majestic River Amstel. This is a great way to make your way into the very centre of the city. Follow the river north and you will pass the beautiful Skinny Bridge known locally as the Magere Brug. It is most famous for featuring in the 1971 James Bond film Diamonds are Forever. Cross the bridge and explore the beautiful artworks in the Hermitage Museum on the other side. This huge building houses some beautiful artefacts that tell the fascinating story of relations between Russia and the Netherlands throughout history.

A few minutes away in the centre of the city lies the famous Waterlooplein Flea Market. Here you can purchase just about anything. Be sure to bring your camera as you are bound to notice lots of unusual photo opportunities. This is a great place to pick up a unique souvenir for loved ones back home. You will have to rummage through boxes of bric-a-brac and mountains of vintage clothing to find the buried treasure. See if you can haggle a bargain too. Good luck!

Getting to and from Central Station via public transport is very easy since regular trams travel along Vijzelstraat taking around 8 minutes, depending on traffic. The street is just a 5 minute walk to the west of the apartment.
