Apartment The Captain Canal 2 is a strikingly beautiful three bedroom house located in one of the oldest areas of Amsterdam. Traditional elements like high ceilings, wooden floors and large windows create a powerful atmosphere of wealth and refinement. Bright and spacious, the living area is furnished with a sofa, a fauteuil, a coffee table, a flat screen TV, a DVD player. There is also a cosy lounge area with two additional sofas. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience. A hallway paved with marble and a flight of stairs lead to the bedrooms. One of which has a double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, a sink and a toilet, of course, and this one has a relaxing bathtub. The other two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms as well, one comes with a double bed and one comes with two singles. A separate water closet can be found in the hallway. This magnificent house can host six persons. Services and facilities: Bed linen and towels are provided. Canal view. Fair-trade Max Havelaar Cotton The bath linen we use is made of Fair-trade cotton. Fair-trade cotton is cotton that is produced durable without any insecticides in developing countries. By paying an honest price to local farmers the environment of those who are directly involved is improved step by step. We always keep looking for new ways to contribute to a better environment.

| The apartment is located in the Nieuwmarkt area one of the oldest districts of Amsterdam. Although bordering the spicy Red Light District, it has a family-safe atmosphere with no red lights or related businesses around. The lovely Nieuwmarkt Square is picturesque with cafés and bars. De Waag, a magnificent historic building stands out. It used to be St. Anthony’s Gate, part of the Medieval Walls built in 1481 and subsequently converted into a weighing house (Waag = weighing scales). During the 16th century ships would dock here to unload and weight their goods. Today this is a beautiful and peaceful neighbourhood close to the Central Station, The Rembrandt house, Chinatown and just ten minutes away from Dam Square. |
